Top Ten Reasons I Can't Wait to go to Minnesota

10.) It snows there. None of this typhoon powered rain for weeks on end crap. And sun, don't get me started on how much I LOVE the sun. I will tell you every reason I can think of that the sun is good.

9.) HOCKEY! Season tickets, here I come. Centre Ice on a TV that I don't have to murder someone to watch. (one TV for 200 people is not sufficient)

8.) There are food types that are not some variation of Asian.

7.) I don't have to do homework.

6.) Caribou Coffee and all my other favorite places to hang out in MN will be there waiting for me, plus I won't have to spend an hour trying to figure out how to get where I want to go.

5.) I get to see my friends/have my arm fixed by a real doctor that doesn't use words like suck, bummer, and tell me he couldn't get into the school I attend if he were apply today when discussing the fact that I think my arm is falling off.

4.) Hopkins is much less sketchy than Salem.

3.) I won't have to comb the internet for any scrap of information I can find about my sports teams, I can just open my front door or flip on the TV.

2.) I can shoot the breeze with random people about anything as long as it's sports or the weather.

1.) Did I mention snow and hockey? Really? Well I'm mentioning them again.

You fail! You didn't mention you poor old sainted mother. Sniff!

I'd go there for hockey. :P Never the snow. *hates it unless she's in the comfort of her own bed*

(#11 is obviously that I might visit. It's okay. I get it Kirsten, I'm not top ten material...:P)

Steph-Obviously, but you are not causing me any suffering right now, so therefore it was not on the tip of my brain. I'm sorry! Homework, sketchy bums, my arm, and rain are causing me to be less than pleased about life.

Rinslet-snow is wonderful! Everyone out here hates it, but that's their loss. They just hate it because when it snows it turns to rain and a big, slushy mess.

Ahh well in that case you are entirely forgiven - I would not want to be thought of along with things making you displeased about life.

The Red Wings are making me displeased about life...stupid Zetterberg.

Steph said...

Aww don't blame Zetterberg, it's not his fault he's awesome. (Clearly you need your Koivu back.)

What's this snow business? Snow? The cold stuff?

Kirsten said...

Steph-I KNOW! Where is Koivu? What have you done with him, did you steal him and hide him somewhere? What do I have to do to get you to use your fantastic nursing skills on Koivu instead of Hemsky?

Ckim-See in places that actually have noticable changes in seasons, we get this thing called snow. Especially if you live in a place that is not a desert.

Ahh yes, frozen rain. I've heard of such a phenomenon.

not some variation of Asian.

Hey!! C'mon Asian food rocks! Ok, Chinese can get a little greasy...it's probably my least favorite Asian food. But give me Japanese or Thai food any day!

I don't know what I would do if I had to drive in rain everyday. I almost had a heart attack a couple weeks ago when I had to drive home on the freeway in pouring rain with fog, listening to the SigAlert and hearing about all the accidents.

I was raised in the Midwest...there isn't a ton of Asian food around there...I do like Thai, though.
That would be intensely scary if you weren't used to it. I'm glad you made it safely. Fortunately it pours often enough that I'm ok with driving in the rain. Snow and ice can get tricky, but I'm used to that too. Thanks, MN for conditioning me to drive in crappy weather!

I'll keep that in mind. If I make it down there, I expect a full tour from you and KMS2 of my food options. Please don't laugh at me if I have no clue what it is that you are talking about when you mention food types. I'm the type that you order something good, tell me what's in it, and I'll eat up.

haha, duly noted. Typical rower. =P
